"Mines trigger and explode when enemies come close. They deal area damage around them."

Mines are most effectively used to take out weaker troops right at the start of a battle. Once the troops wander a bit too close to the Mine it will cause splash damage and deal a great amount of damage to a group of troops. Make sure you place your Mines on your plans strategically. Poorly placed Mines are easily avoided with Flares.

When attacking using Artillery or Barrage to destroy mines is an easy way to deploy your troops safely. And be sure to deploy your heavies first if you could not rid all the Mines before deploying.
