"Iron Storage increases your Iron storage capacity."

Iron storage stores your iron. As you upgrade it increases the capacity allowing you to store more Iron. Iron is used to upgrade most higher level buildings. Luckily if the Iron Mine is destroyed during battle the enemies to not obtain your resources. Your resources can only be obtained if your Headquarters is destroyed.
